Produced by 20th Century Fox, the company responsible (or should that be irresponsible?) for such turkeys as Porky's and Deadly Duck, Turmoil is a surprisingly fun game. Players pilot a ship up and down an alleyway in the center of the screen, avoiding and blasting (right and left) pastel-colored aliens that cruise along a series of horizontal lanes. When a prize appears, players can fly vertically to go and grab it. This game has most everything a hardcore shooter fan could want: rapid fire, fast gameplay, exciting sound effects, intense action, a sense of level progression (1-9), and formidable enemies. It even has a pause feature!
